Phone Usage

Digital Photography, Adobe Lightroom, and Photoshop, Spring 2019

This photo project for class required me to create a narration through photography. Inspired by the technology in life, I wanted to capture nature's beauty and the impact of phones in our world. I placed my subjects in beautiful landscapes and captured them on their phones. The places that were used are Sacramento, Tiburon, and San Rafael.

Objects of Life Assignment

Found objects, Plastic White Background, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, Spring 2020

Since my spring semester turned to online classes, this photography assignment required me to collect found objects that can be found at home. I decided to take photos of the objects that my family members "collect". My grandma likes to collect pens and pencils of all sizes. My mom likes to collect scarves, and my dad collects equipment for oxygen machines for work. My sister collects slippers and my brother collects film cameras. My goal was to capture the amount of collected objects that my family have collected throughout the years.

Composite: South Korea

Composite: South Korea

Digital Photography, Public Archives, Google Street  View,  Adobe Lightroom, and Photoshop, Spring 2019

Using Public Archives, my own photos, and Google Street View, I created a composite of the old and new Seoul, South Korea. Since I went abroad to South Korea in the Fall 2018, I wanted to show how Seoul changed throughout history. Fortunately, I found archive photos to use with the places I have visited and taken a photo of. The first photo is of 'Gyeongbokgung' Palace. The second photo is of the city view from the Namsan Tower. The last photo is a shopping street in Insadong.

Self love and Identity

Self Love and Identity

Digital Photography, Paint, Spring 2019

From my photography class, we were assigned to create a narrative series with any topic of our choice. We were also assigned to incorporate the photographers we learned in class. I incorporated Nadav Kander's portraits in his Grids and Panels series and one of Marlen Stahlhuthl's editorials for Adidas. I wanted to highlight the importance of self-love and identity, so I went and handpaint quotes that spoke to me onto my friends' body parts. I taken the photos in studio on campus.
